As per new exchange compliance regulations, is it mandatory to set 2FA (2 Factor Authentication) up in your account by September 30th, 2022. 2FA adds an extra layer of security and includes:

  • Knowledge Factor- Something only you know (account password)
  • Possession Factor- Something only you have (TOTP/OTP/Biometric)

From October 1st 2022, you will not be able to access trading platforms without having one of the above-listed possession factors enabled in your account. PAN and Date of Birth as second validation will be removed. Please ensure that your mobile number and email ID are correct/updated. Learn more.

there is a concept single click 2FA, means first factor is mobile number and IMEI combination . This is static and will get at the time of device registration. Second is user defined PIN. In this case one one click will satisfy both the conditions ?

@yami The exchange circular clearly defines the 2FA requirements which include a password/PIN and an OTP/TOTP. Hence, the concept of single-click 2FA is not applicable.
